Independent band Sorry Youth was invited to perform at Canada’s TAIWANfest in 2019. There, they met several democratic activists who were on The Blacklist. For the island they call home, these Taiwanese elders, now seventy, eighty years old, fought for freedom for the Taiwanese people overseas despite being barred from returning to Taiwan. Sorry Youth were extremely touched by the stories of these elders, and wrote the song “Justice in Time” in dedication to these unsung heroes, from their latest album, Bad Times, Good times.
