ABOUT TAIWANFEST

ABOUT
TAIWANFEST

了解更多
TAIWANfest is an annual cultural festival exploring the connections between Taiwan, Canada, and the world. Through live performances, films, talks, culinary programs, exhibitions, workshops, and more, we examine the influences of history and human migration on today's culture.
Dialogue Series

In 2016, TAIWANfest began a "Dialogue with Asia" series. Each year, the festival starts the conversation with a different culture, sharing untold stories of Taiwan in the global context. In 2022, TAIWANfest has embarked on a new chapter with the "Dialogue with the World" series.

Vancouver TAIWANfest is grateful to be held on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish Nation), and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation). We acknowledge our privilege to be gathered here, and commit to work with and be respectful to the Indigenous peoples of this land while we engage in meaningful conversations of culture and reconciliation.
